Palworld Ranch Guide: Your Game-Changer!
Ready to make your gaming life a whole lot easier? Let’s chat about the Ranch. It’s this early game gem that’s way more than just a building. It saves you from the grind of manual farming – a real game-changer. Trust me, once you get this going, you’ll wonder how you ever managed without it. Let’s dive in and see how the Ranch can be your best buddy in the game!

Farming Pal Tier list
A quick overview of what I consider the best and worst pals to have on a Ranch. An overview of each tier level will be explained in the following section.
S Tier Pals
Vixy
Drops: Pal Sphere, Gold, Arrows
Traits: Gathering, Farming
Vixy is one of the best early-game Pals for farming. The benefits of having essentially an infinite amount of Pal Spheres, Gold, and Arrows seem too good to pass up. You might think, ‘I don’t use the first-grade Pal Spheres later on,’ but for the vast majority of your early to mid-game, you will be using these when trying to capture anything from levels 1-15. It’s extremely cost-efficient, and it doesn’t rely on you manually crafting these starter spheres, nor do you waste materials on the higher-graded ones. Even when you are far past the starter area, you can always come back to use these spheres to capture Pals for that sweet bonus EXP, which seems to scale with your level!
Flamebelle
Drops: Flame Organs
Traits: Kindling, Handiwork, Transporting, Farming
Everyone needs Flame Organs at some point, so having a Flamebelle automatically generating them for you at the base is just a good idea. If you desperately need Flame Organs, you can check out my other guide!
Sibelyx
Drops: High Quality Cloth
Traits: Medicine Production, Cooling, Farming
Later on in the game, you will start to notice that both the material costs and types begin to change. However, the Ranch remains perfect for acquiring materials you will need. Here, Sibelyx can help you obtain High-Quality Cloth, which is used for most of the endgame armor. So why not start straight away in getting this cloth?
A Tier Pals
Beegarde
Drops: Honey
Traits: Planting, Handiwork, Gathering, Lumbering, Medicine Production, lvl. 2 Transporting, Farming
Beegarde is overall a great Pal; it has multiple traits, so even if you don’t need it constantly for farming, you can use it for a multitude of other tasks in your base. Honey becomes very important once you start looking into breeding, as you will need to craft cakes!
Chikipi
Drops: Eggs
Traits: Gathering, Farming
Chikipi is an early-game Pal and might even be your first! However, since Chikipi generates eggs, which can be used for different food sources including cakes for breeding, I had to give it a high spot on the list. Chikipi will also help you gather, which is just a bonus!
Mozzarina
Drops: Milk
Traits: Farming
Mozzarina, the cute and happy cow Pal, doesn’t do much else besides generating milk. However, since milk is needed for Cake, you should definitely get yourself one of these happy cows!
Mau
Drops: Gold coins
Traits: Farming (& Cooling if Mau Cryst)
Mau and Mau Cryst will generate gold coins for you when in the Ranch, which can be used to purchase materials, medicine, or even Pals! So, it’s a great pickup if you aren’t sure what to focus on. Passive gold can never be a bad thing.
B Tier Pals
Lamball
Drops: Wool
Traits: Handiwork, Transporting, Farming
Lamball is an early sheep Pal you can get. It’s placed higher than other wool generators since it actively helps out in the base with both handiwork (crafting) and transporting. If you need wool, I would recommend Lamball!
C Tier Pals
Cremis
Drops: Wool
Traits: Gathering, Farming
Cremis is cute but also generates the same products as Lamball. Therefore, I would always choose Lamball over Cremis.
Melpaca
Drops: Wool
Traits: Farming
Melpaca can be ridden with a saddle, but is overall quite underwhelming. I would never choose this over Lamball or Cremis, as it does nothing else but farm, and since it can only farm wool, it’s quite a low-rated Pal for the Ranch.
D Tier Pals
Caprity
Drops: Red berries
Traits: Lvl. 2 Planting, Farming
Caprity drops red berries, but at a certain point, you really do not need red berries. All it takes is one berry plantation, and you can basically sustain an entire base. Therefore, I would never choose to use Caprity for farming.
Woolipop
Drops: Cotton Candy
Traits: Farming
Woolipop drops cotton candy while farming. I haven’t found a good use for this; it just seems to be some basic food, similar to red berries. However, it only has one-third of the nutritional value of red berries, so I would never use it to keep my pals fed, but it does give SAN and never expires, so thats a benefit!
Happy Crafting & Gathering!
Let me know in the comments if there’s anything else you would like to know more about ❤
Just a quick note but good lil guide!
Cotton candy is like a treat for your pals, it keeps them happy! So if they are being fussy throw some cotton candy in the feed and have a wollipop produce and they will auto refill their feed box with a treat that makes them happy!
Also though some pals do more around the base it can be beneficial to have pals that only do 1 thing so they are always doing the main task you want done
Like I have lamball to help with my wool and around the farm but I have my Melpacas as my main for wool so they always have it going.
I’ve found a use for Wooliop’s cotton candy! It doesn’t decay, so if you fill up the remaining slots in a Pal Feeder with cotton candy, the transporters will instead take things like milk, seeds, and wheat to the cooler.
Nice! I usually would go with honey since it never expires either, but its true you can get a Wooliop sooner! ❤
Great article, thanks!!
